Inventions galore |
|
|

- good site, list is alphabetical with lots of lesser inventions
like cookies, cotton candy and stuff like that.
- Yahooligans
Inventors Directory (inventors) You need to look around this
site. There are a number of pages that can help you with other
class assignments. One good thing is you can search the site
using the name of your inventor.
- Yahooligans
Inventors Directory (inventions) Same site as above but this one
takes you to the list of inventions.
- About.com
(inventors) - You can find loads of information. Look at the
menu down the left side of the page. Famous
inventions and famous
inventors are both good places to look. On the inventors
page, you can search using A-Z index or by nationality. Here is yet
another list of inventors
from About.com.
- LSU
Library - List of important historical inventions and inventors.
Not many details here. This is the list you signed up on.
- National
Invention Hall of Fame - Really good site. You can keyword
search by invention or inventor.
- The
Great Fact Finder - "Invention facts and myths".
Not a lot of detail but a pretty good list of inventions.
- Museum
of Ancient Inventions - Interesting site. Traces some of
our everyday things back to ancient times but not much you can use
on your report.
- Smithsonian
Institution - Not as good as the rest. It does cover a few
of the more important inventions and inventors well.
- PageWise -
Sort of a strange site but vast amounts of information. It has a
good index and inventions can be found listed under "objects"
and "objects,
more..."
- History
of Inventions - From the CBC. This is a little primary but
has some useful information.
- Useless
Information - This site has too much information to go under fun
stuff. It is limited but if you are lucky, they might have
your invention.
