By this stage
of your high school career you should have a clear
understanding of the behavior that is expected of you. You should always do
your best and allow the students around you to do the
same. Be aware, your actions while on this campus
carry consequences which range from classroom detention
for minor violations all the way to expulsion. I
expect you to behave like the professional student you
are, follow all classroom and school rules, and be a
responsible citizen of Downey High School. |

*pass
policy: You are given four pass to be used at
your discretion during the semester. These are for
emergencies such as going to the bathroom, trips to the
school nurse or recovering lost items. Passes
should never be wasted. At the end of the semester
I will give you five extra credit points for each unused
pass (maximum of 20 points). After they are gone,
you will be required to make up that time after school
at the rate of 1/2 hour per pass.
If you are asked to leave
class and stand outside because of unacceptable
behavior, one pass will be taken away. You may
choose to serve detention rather than loose that
pass. It will be 30 minutes that day after school,
the decision is up to you.
